"Central Plains Theory Of Science Popularization" Academicians And Experts' Science Popularization Report

In the afternoon of December 20, the 85th "Central Plains Theory of Science Popularization" academician expert report meeting hosted by Henan Science and Technology Association and organized by Henan Textile Engineering Society, Henan University of Engineering, Zhongyuan University of Technology and Henan Rural Professional Technology Association was successfully held in Longhu Campus of Henan University of Engineering. Xu Weilin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, president, professor and doctoral supervisor of Wuhan Textile University, delivered the keynote report, Li Jifeng, member of the Party Leadership Group and vice chairman of Henan Association for Science and Technology, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, Liu Yongtao, secretary of the Party Committee of Henan Institute of Technology, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, Song Xiaowei, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Zhongyuan Institute of Technology, Zhang Ruilin and Zhang Qiaoling, vice presidents of Henan Institute of Technology, Ma Yubao, Minister of Science Popularization Department of Henan Association for Science and Technology, Zhang Xianshun, President of Henan Textile Engineering Society, Council members and member representatives of Henan Textile Engineering Society, scientific and technological workers of some scientific research institutes and textile enterprises, teachers and students representatives of Zhongyuan Institute of Technology and Henan Institute of Engineering, and nearly 300 other people attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Yang Runkai, executive chairman of Henan Textile Engineering Society.

Liu Yongtao, Secretary of the Party Committee of Henan Institute of Engineering, delivered an enthusiastic speech. He said that in recent years, the school has made a lot of efforts and achievements around the idea of "polishing the background of the industry, strengthening the advantages of engineering, developing industrial software, and serving major needs". In terms of talent education, it has trained a large number of professional and technical talents for the coal industry and textile industry. The "Central Plains Theory of Science Popularization" activity aims to transform profound scientific knowledge into a language that is easily accepted by the public, so that the seeds of science can take root on the earth. It is hoped that this activity can stimulate the interest of teachers and students in science, cultivate scientific thinking, improve scientific literacy, and provide intellectual support for building a national innovation highland.

Li Jifeng, member of the Party Leadership Group and vice chairman of Henan Association for Science and Technology, pointed out in his speech that scientific and technological innovation leads the future, and scientific popularization builds a foundation for the people. At present, a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation is starting a new innovation cycle. Spreading new knowledge and ideas, promoting the integration of science and technology with economy and society, and cultivating innovative reserve talents, the "wing of science popularization" is becoming more and more important. The activity of "Science Popularization in the Central Plains" aims to gather wisdom from all parties, build an exchange platform, and let cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements and practical technical knowledge take root in the textile industry in the Central Plains. It is hoped that the participating textile science and technology workers, teachers and students of colleges and universities will cherish the precious opportunity to listen closely to the academicians' lectures on science popularization, learn from the report to make progress, and add luster to the promotion of Chinese style modernization and the construction of brilliant Henan.

Academician Xu Weilin gave a keynote report entitled "Scientific and Technological Power in the Construction of Textile and Clothing Brands". Academician Xu comprehensively expounded the scientific and technological forces in brand building from three aspects: technological innovation and brand building of the textile industry chain, scientific and technological achievements and cooperation cases of related brands, and standard innovation and traction to promote brand building and upgrading. He pointed out that the exploration of fiber innovation and performance is the basis for promoting brand building; Spinning technology progress and yarn structure innovation promote brand development; Manufacturing technology innovation to help promote the brand; Dyeing technology innovation is the guarantee to strengthen brand building; Standard innovation and traction are the key forces to promote brand building. In response to the above problems, Academician Xu made a simple analysis of yarn forming technology, yarn structure development, yarn forming technology innovation, international major brand cases, representative work and other aspects.

After the keynote report, academicians interacted with the audience, and they raised their hands to ask questions. Academician Xu Weilin gave detailed answers to the questions raised by the audience, such as enterprise product development and brand building, new material application and product integration and development.

After the report meeting, Academician Xu Weilin and relevant leaders, accompanied by Secretary Liu Yongtao, visited Henan Institute of Engineering and attended the expert symposium.
