To deal with climate change, the key is to implement it effectively and not to make empty promises. Countries should not only have goals, but also translate them into effective policies, solid actions and specific projects. From the 1992 United Nations Framework Convention on climate change to the Kyoto Protocol, and then to the Paris Agreement, it witnessed the process of the international community's joint efforts to deal with climate change in the past 30 years. However, some developed countries chant beautiful slogans and fail to fulfill their promises, which has greatly damaged the mutual trust between the north and the south, leading to the failure of the international community to form a joint force for action. As early as the 2009 UN climate change conference in Copenhagen, developed countries made a commitment to provide 100 billion US dollars of climate financial support to developing countries by 2020, but it has not yet been fulfilled.

In response to climate change, the key is to act in concert and not to adopt double standards. Considering the different national conditions and historical responsibilities of different countries, as well as the different levels and stages of development, it is fair and reasonable for each country to have different responsibilities in implementing response actions. In the past, some developed countries weakened or even ignored the principle of "common but differentiated responsibilities" and repeatedly put forward unrealistic high requirements for developing countries. Now, when they encounter energy crisis, they restart coal-fired power and reverse their efforts to reduce the use of fossil fuels. Jon longberg, director of the Copenhagen Consensus research center in Denmark, recently published a review article in Canada's global post. He pointed out that since the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the rich western countries have been increasing the supply of fossil energy from all over the world, believing that the UN gas change conference "will show more astonishing hypocrisy than ever before", "Rich countries in the world will be keen to warn poor countries about the dangers of fossil fuels - after they themselves consume a lot of natural gas, coal and oil.".

At the same time, China has also actively supported China's capacity-building in the form of "one belt, one road" and other forms of climate change cooperation.

At present, the global climate change has brought serious consequences. Affected by the extreme climate, Europe has suffered a heat wave rarely seen in history since this year. Many countries in Asia and North America have experienced severe droughts and floods, and famine continues to afflict the horn of Africa. In the face of extreme weather, human destiny is shared. No one can be alone. Concerted action is the right choice. As president Ceci of Egypt, the host country of cop27, said, cop27 is an opportunity to show solidarity. Only through concerted action and effective implementation can people overcome the threat of climate change, a threat to human survival.
