Focus On Yancheng Cotton Production Cluster Industry In Jiangsu

Recently, CCTV agricultural channel reporter has gone to the "modern cotton planting technology exhibition base" of Yancheng City Dafeng rice and wheat cotton seed farm in Jiangsu province. It has made an on-the-spot report on the research, innovation and application of cotton planting technology along the beach in saline and alkaline land, including cotton planting, light simplified seedling raising, super high yield cultivation and mechanized cotton picking.

Zhou Zhiguo, a leading scientist in the national base of the cotton industry and a professor in Nanjing Agricultural University, was interviewed by reporters.

In terms of cotton development strategy, the location of the three major cotton regions in the Yangtze River Valley, the the Yellow River River Basin and the northwest inland is respectively "moving eastward (to the saline alkali land in the North)", "going north (to the north of the Yellow River)" and "westward Development (to Xinjiang cotton area)", so as to accelerate the construction of the cotton production base in China and ensure the safety of the cotton industry.

With the support of agricultural colleges, research institutes and teaching and extension units, Yancheng City has taken the lead in establishing a modern cotton planting technology research base in the coastal development base Dafeng rice and wheat seed farm. It provides scientific basis and technical support for the pfer of cotton fields in the mainland, support for food security and the pfer of cotton base to the tidal flat.
