The unit price decreased by 11.67% compared with the same period last year, of which the export volume of factory silk was 2357.5 tons, up 5.29% from the same period last year, and the amount was 109 million 649 thousand and 400 dollars, down 8.27% from the same period last year.

The export volume of silk and silk fabrics was 79 million 575 thousand meters, down 11.54% from the same period last year, the amount was 413 million US dollars, down 3.48% from the same period last year, and the unit price increased by 9.24%. The export volume of the silk fabrics was 59 million 930 thousand meters, down 12.91% compared with the same period last year, and the export amount was 284 million dollars, a decrease of 6.34% compared with the same period last year, and the unit price increased by 7.5% over the same period.

Silk garments and products exported 645 million US dollars, down 8.58% compared with the same period last year.

Exports of 86 million 520 thousand pieces, down 35.96% from the same period last year, amounted to $447 million, down 5.51% from the same period last year. The number of knitted apparel exports was 71 million 273 thousand and 400, down 39.12% from the same period last year, the amount of $131 million 795 thousand and 200, an increase of 0.7% over the previous year, and the unit price increased by 65.18% over the same period.

In the light of the development trend of the cocoon and silk industry this year, the industry experts believe that the output of cocoons in the whole country may increase slightly in 2012, but the output of raw silk is limited. In the first half of the year, the price of raw silk is relatively stable, and the second half of the year will probably be better than the first half.
