Europe And The United States Mainly Focus On Children'S Clothing For China'S Export Notification Products.

The reporter learned that the number of Chinese spinning and clothing products increased by nearly 2 in the recall notice issued by the 1~3 Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) in the same month last year. The number of notifications announced by the EU non food quick warning system (RAPEX) to Chinese clothing and fabrics increased by 633% over the same period last year.

The spun clothing products are still mainly children's clothing, but they also include some sportswear and special purpose clothes.

All the products mentioned were ordered to take corrective actions except for the children's garments whose length of rope was over standard. Other kinds of products had either voluntarily or passively withdrawn from the market and recalled the products that had been sold. Products that had not yet entered the EU market were directly refused to be imported by the customs.

In 2008, the quota of China's textile and clothing export was abolished, and the quota for exporting to the United States was abolished in 2009.

It is reported that the EU has issued more than 10 new regulations after the cancellation of quota, such as the prohibition of azo dyes, the standard of textile eco labelling, and the OekoTex100 standard that will be raised every year. The introduction of these technical barriers to trade will make China's textile and garment products face greater cost pressures and risks.

A survey of 214 textile and garment enterprises to be announced at the Canton Fair yesterday revealed that more than 60% of the enterprises said they would raise the price of commodities at the Canton Fair, but only 30% of the enterprises hoped to receive orders at the Canton Fair, indicating that the enterprises' confidence in the Canton Fair was not enough.

Data show that 46.76% of enterprises will be willing to participate in the Canton Fair only to "contact the old customers" and choose only 31.94% of enterprises wishing to sign the bill.

Zhang Xian, Secretary General of the China Textiles Import and Export Chamber of Commerce, said the shortage of foreign demand is now the biggest difficulty for the textile industry. This is also the foreshadowing of the current Canton fair or the lowest point in the history of the paction.

Data show that 64.02% of enterprises reduce the booth while increasing the proportion of exhibitors. Among them, the proportion of famous and new products is 30%~50%.
