At present, the evolution of the world's centennial changes has accelerated, the international pattern has been profoundly adjusted, a new round of scientific and technological revolution has pushed the reform of the textile industry to deepen, and the promotion of new materials, artificial intelligence and other cutting-edge technologies and multi field integration and innovation have provided an important path for the innovative development of the industrial textile industry.

In order to implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Central Economic Work Conference, and promote the steady growth and high-quality development of the textile industry, in 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other four departments jointly issued the Implementation Plan for Upgrading the Textile Industry (2023-2025). To deploy industries, we should gather strength to foster scientific and technological innovation platforms; Accelerate the construction of standard system; Expand the application of industrial textiles in aerospace, infrastructure construction, environmental protection, construction, energy, national defense and military industry and other fields of the national economy. It is pointed out that industrial textiles should strengthen the key technological breakthroughs in high-end biomedical textile materials, special safety protection textiles, special ropes and fishing nets, intelligent textiles, large size special-shaped structural parts and other industrial textiles.

In 2023, the China Textile Federation also released the Action Plan for Building a Modern Textile Industry System (2022-2035), pointing out that the technological advantages of industrial textiles are gradually cultivated and accumulated, and a number of innovative achievements have been made in the fields of high-temperature filtration, geotechnical architecture, safety protection, health care and structural strengthening, which significantly enhance the international competitiveness.

The medical and health industry is a strategic emerging industry that promotes people's well-being, safeguards public security, and leads economic development. In 2023, China Medical and Health Textile Materials Industry Conference and 2023 International Textile Biomedical Materials Conference will strengthen the deep integration of different disciplines, collaborative innovation, medical and industrial cross cutting and achievement transformation, and accumulate strength for medical and health textile materials to achieve higher quality development.

The Association continues to provide all-round services for the industry in terms of international standards, national standards, national military standards, industry standards, group standards, etc. In 2023, the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Industrial Textiles officially approved the preparation, and one group standard of the Association was selected into the application demonstration of one hundred group standards of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2023. The group standard of T/CNITA 01004-2023 "Evaluation and Classification of Respirator Breathability" was released and implemented, and the standardization work was remarkable.

Under the deployment of the new African Green Alliance, the "biodegradable" and "washable" certification work continues to advance. The cultivation of green factories, the Second Asian Wipe Materials Conference and the 2023 China (Funing) New Environmental Protection Materials Conference have effectively promoted the low-carbon transformation and upgrading of the industry and green sustainable development.

In 2023, the Professional Committee for Electrospinning Nonwovens of China Association for Middle East Enterprises was officially established in response to the needs of the industry. The first China Electrospinning Nonwovens Summit gathered many experts and scholars to show innovative research results and technology iterations in a multi-dimensional manner, helping China's electrospinning nonwovens shine on the world stage.

In 2023, the Association will cultivate backbone enterprises in accordance with three levels of pilot enterprises, industry single champion enterprises and specialized and special new enterprises, carry out precise and professional services, and further consolidate the basis for gradient cultivation of high-quality SMEs. Hold a seminar on the cultivation of high-quality enterprises in the industrial textile industry, carry out systematic research around the work of "specialization, refinement, novelty", etc., and comprehensively build a gradient cultivation pattern of high-quality enterprises in the industrial textile industry.
