The Ex Factory Prices Of Industrial Producers Fell By 3.0% Year On Year In June

In June 2020, the factory price of industrial producers in China decreased by 3.0% year-on-year and increased by 0.4% month on month; the purchase price of industrial producers decreased by 4.4% year-on-year and increased by 0.4% month on month. In the first half of the year, the ex factory prices of industrial producers decreased by 1.9% compared with the same period last year, and the purchase prices of industrial producers decreased by 2.6%.

Among the ex factory prices of industrial producers, the price of means of production decreased by 4.2% year-on-year, 0.9% lower than that of the previous month, which affected the overall level of ex factory prices of industrial producers by about 3.11%. Among them, the price of mining industry decreased by 10.5%, the price of raw material industry decreased by 8.5%, and the price of processing industry decreased by 2.0%. The price of means of living rose by 0.6% year-on-year, 0.1 percentage point higher than that of the previous month, which affected the overall level of factory prices of industrial producers to rise by about 0.16%. Among them, the price of daily necessities increased by 8.0%, while the price of daily necessities decreased by 8.0%.

Among the purchase prices of industrial producers, the prices of fuel and power decreased by 14.2%, the prices of chemical raw materials decreased by 9.4%, the prices of non-ferrous metal materials and wires decreased by 3.3%, the prices of ferrous materials decreased by 2.2%, and the prices of agricultural and sideline products increased by 5.8%.

2. Month on month changes in industrial producer prices

Among the ex factory prices of industrial producers, the prices of means of production increased by 0.5% compared with the previous month, which affected the overall level of ex factory prices of industrial producers to rise by about 0.40%. Among them, the prices of mining industry, raw material industry and processing industry increased by 4.9%, 0.7% and 0.2%, respectively. The price of means of living decreased from 0.3% to 0.1% month on month, which affected the overall level of industrial producer's ex factory price to increase by about 0.03%. Among them, the price of food increased by 0.3%, the price of clothing and durable consumer goods decreased by 0.1%, and the price of general daily necessities remained unchanged.

Among the purchase prices of industrial producers, the prices of nonferrous metal materials and wires increased by 1.8%, the prices of fuel power and ferrous metals increased by 1.2%, the prices of agricultural and sideline products increased by 0.4%, and the prices of chemical raw materials decreased by 0.1%.
