Colette

Colette, a famous boutique buyer shop in Paris, is located in Saint orange street, Paris. It opened in March 1997. It was co operated by the founder Colette Roussaux and her daughter Sarah Andelman. It was once a weathervane in the global fashion industry.
When Colette was founded in 20th anniversary in December 2017, two people suddenly announced that they would be closed permanently.
After two years of Colette closure, La Pac Films, HLB and Highsnobiety announced that they would jointly create a 1 hour documentary Colette Mon Amour, which will cover the story of Colette from the beginning of the closed shop to the last 6 months of closure.
In December 20th, the producer held a private screening in Paris, revealing the contents of the movie to Colette brand and family friends. The official Instagram account of the documentary says it will premiere in 2020, but no exact date is released.
The founder Colette Roussaux and her daughter Sarah Andelman will play an important role in the film. They are also the chief buyer and creative director of this buyer's shop.
The film will also trace back to the development of Colette in the past 20 years, and invited the founder of Virgil, Off-White Abloh, American hip hop singer and fashion designer Kanye West, Pharrell Williams and others to perform. They used to be Colette partners to help the store grow into a fashion retailing and cultural exhibition resort in Paris. The film also interviewed many other fashion celebrities, such as fashion show producer Alexandre de Betak, LVMH Prize youth Designer Award winner, Masayuki Ino, designer Guillaume Henry, Ronnie Fieg, and Henry.
The film will also reveal some of the activities behind Colette's final activities, such as the Saint Laurent special exhibition, which was held in November 2017. The exhibition took a comprehensive layout of Colette's two floor space within 48 hours.
The film was directed by Paris director Hugues Lawson-Body, and his sister, Eliane Lawson-Body, was also involved in the work. Hugues Lawson-Body said: "the people we interviewed in the documentary are real, and they are all loyal fans of Colette. They are very happy to recall Colette. "
Colette is a pioneer of the "concept store" mode. When it closed in 2017, it still had many followers and its operation was very good. Colette earned 28 million euros in 2016 and rose to 35 million euros in 2017.
Colette Roussaux said, "the main reason I stopped was my age. With the Internet and other new ways of consumption, I do not want to see our stores gradually vacant or deteriorating. Besides, I don't have enough time to accompany my children. I don't want Sarah to do the same. "
Sarah Andelman has a young son. After Colette was closed, she founded her own consulting company, Just an Idea. Speaking of Colette, she said "no regrets".
Sarah Andelman explained the importance of "Colette Mon Amour" in the media interview: "my mother is a very happy grandmother. We are very clear that this is a critical moment for us. We need to leave some traces. I don't want my son to know Colette after he grows up. We do not want to recollection of Colette in the way of writing books, because we feel that the atmosphere of Colette can not be expressed in words, but rather needs to be felt on the scene. For Paris, this is a special era. There is no doubt that this is worth remembering forever. Now, we are starting a new ten year. "
