Zhang Ge, 28 years old, liked to follow her grandmother to tinker with needles.

At the age of 19, she went to Paris Esmod Institute of fashion design.

On the first day of class, the teacher asked everyone to write their dreams on paper, and Zhang Ge wrote that he had his own brand.

In this almost all French class, the dream of a Chinese girl sounds a little naive.

Many people who come from many fashion design majors have worked for many years and are just working for others' brands.

Ten years ago, there were few Chinese figures in the French costume design circle.

When people hear the works of Chinese designers, they often shake their heads first.

"They think China may have good tailors, but there are no good designers," Zhang Ge recalled.

Through the study of design concepts, painting, drawing, printing and other professional skills, Zhang Ge soon completed three years of schooling.

In order to better train herself, she chose to work in a small design company after graduation.

In 2014, after accumulating experience in several companies, Zhang Ge finally established his own brand, Ge Nieva.

Zhang Ge, who has its own brand, is often flying around Europe and rushing to all kinds of show and order.

In the busy journey, Zhang Ge also needs to prepare for the brand new season series.

"It's usually a business trip, and when you get home, you take your coat off, your hair is tied up, roll up your sleeves and start drawing all day and all night."

However, no matter how busy he is, Zhang Ge will meticulously sort himself out and try to wear his clothes designed to go out.

In the fashion design circle, "the designer's appearance is a business card," she said.

As a Chinese designer, Zhang Ge has been thinking about how to interpret Chinese elements including architecture and painting in fashion language.

In 2015, Zhang Ge and painter Jiang Shanqing launched the printing series.

On the silver tone fabric, this series has chosen black, yellow, red, blue and other color halo colors. The whole series is tailored and smooth, and looks like an avant-garde abstraction, but it also reveals a strong oriental sentiment.

Not long ago, during the Paris fashion week, Zhang Ge's printing series was recognized and appreciated by overseas fashion circles.

The series of dress has also been favored by many stars such as Lei Hao, Yuan Shanshan and He Jie.

In the successful test of D2C, a designer integrated platform, Zhang Ge is determined to shift the focus of his work to China.

"The dress of domestic consumers is becoming more and more fashionable and personalized, and the space for designer brand development is very large."

Two months ago, after intense planning, Zhang Ge settled in Beijing's thriving Xidan business circle in China's first brand store.

With winter coming, the dress and the woolen coats in the shop are coming.

Career has just started. Zhang Ge has no professional property and PR team. Most of her work is done by herself.

With the development of the brand, Zhang Ge also needs more money, but she is very cautious about finding the investment.

"I hope I can work hard to design and ensure the quality of products, so that the company can grow step by step."

At the moment, she is preparing for the spring and summer fashion series in 2016, this time with a French artist.

"Only by constantly creating and innovating, can designers keep their brands in the fashion trend."

She said.
