Bulgaria Leather Production Price Index Declined In October

The National Statistical Institute (NSI) released the producer price index (PPI) of the domestic market in October last Friday.

Data show that PPI increased by 1.2% in October.

Central Leather Research Institute (CSIR-CLRI) of India has applied for a patent for its leather making technology, which has made significant breakthroughs in water saving.

All these processes need to add a large amount of chemical agents, each process needs to use a lot of water, and produce a lot of waste water containing harmful chemicals in the process.

He said that tannery wastewater is the main source of water pollution in many areas.

The new anhydrous chrome tanning technology can not only save time, but also produce economic benefits and reduce pollution.

He explained that with the new technology, tanning agent can be added directly to the defired bare skin without tanning water or other media.

The new tanning process reduces many production links and is therefore very economical.

Chakrabarti said that the new technology could also reduce about 50% of chrome tanning agents.

At the same time, because the water in the leather making process does not use water, it will not produce waste water, so it is very good for the environment.
