Pakistan President Zardari (Asif Ali Zardari) asked the EU to implement the EU's autonomous trade preferences measures (ATPs) as soon as she met with Michael Gahler members of the EU Parliament. At the same time, Pakistan was included in the GSP plus plan.

He added that Pakistan had revoked almost all reservations which were inconsistent with the two conventions, namely, the International Covenant on Civil and political rights and the Convention against torture.
