The data shows that in the past decade, despite the impact of factors such as SARS, the Iraq war, trade friction, financial crisis, rising crude oil prices, RMB appreciation, and the reduction of export tax rebates, the quality of economic operation of the printing and dyeing industry has maintained a good trend, and economic benefits have steadily improved.

Significant effect of industrial structure adjustment

In the market competition, the printing and dyeing industry has gradually transformed into a market-oriented industry, and enterprises have gradually concentrated in coastal areas. In the eastern coastal areas of China, the market-oriented operation system was implemented earlier. With the advantages of capital allocation, geographical advantages, and labor resources, specialized markets were developed, and relying on specialized markets, industrial clusters of complete industrial chains of raw materials, equipment, and upstream and downstream supporting products were formed. In the past decade, the advantages of industrial clusters in blocky economy have been fully reflected. In the Pearl River Delta, the Yangtze River Delta and the Bohai Bay Rim, the printing and dyeing industry cluster has been growing year by year, playing an important role in the development of the printing and dyeing industry. The output of printed and dyed fabrics in the five eastern coastal provinces of Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, Guangdong and Fujian accounted for 91.37% of the national total by 2010. Shaoxing and Xiaoshan in Zhejiang Province, Wujiang and Changzhou in Jiangsu Province, and Shishi in Fujian Province fully reflect the advantages of block economy in printing and dyeing industry clusters. Many private enterprises in these regions have high starting points, advanced equipment, large production scale, and strong product adaptability.

With the continuous adjustment of market structure, domestic demand plays an increasingly significant role in supporting the industry. The complex and volatile international financial situation and economic trends have prompted the printing and dyeing industry to adjust its development strategy in a timely manner, shifting from relying solely on expanding exports to relying on both expanding domestic demand and stabilizing exports, and striving to resolve the structural contradictions and problems accumulated over a long period of time. The proportion of cotton printed and dyed fabrics basically maintained the original level. The proportion of cotton blended and interwoven printed and dyed fabrics decreased significantly, while the proportion of purified fiber printed and dyed fabrics increased significantly. The proportion of printed and dyed fabrics increased, while that of bleached fabrics decreased. In addition, the enterprise has increased the research and development of new fiber fabrics, multi-component fiber fabrics and functional fabrics. The processing level of these products has been constantly improved, and the proportion of these products has been increasing, to meet people's escalating consumption needs.

Solid promotion of energy conservation and emission reduction

Printing and dyeing industry is a key industry in the textile industry chain to improve the added value of products, and also an industry with high energy consumption, water consumption and large wastewater discharge. At the same time, due to the high requirements of printing and dyeing on water quality, the water reuse rate of printing and dyeing industry is low. Ten years ago, due to the rapid development of the printing and dyeing industry, the production capacity and output increased, and the discharge of wastewater and the consumption of energy resources also increased. The development of printing and dyeing industry is increasingly restricted by environment and resources. On the other hand, the production process and equipment of many printing and dyeing enterprises in China are at the level of the late 1970s and early 1980s. These equipment have relatively high energy consumption and water consumption. The water, energy and resource consumption of textile printing and dyeing enterprises in China is higher than that of developed countries. In addition, the product structure is unreasonable, and medium and low-end products account for more than 80%, leading to a decline in profits, It increases the difficulty of promoting cleaner production and resource recycling.

Therefore, the country and the industry have always regarded energy conservation and emission reduction as the key task for the development of the printing and dyeing industry. A number of new energy-saving and water-saving technologies have achieved breakthroughs in research and development and been popularized in the industry. Significant progress has been made in pollutant control technology, and positive progress has been made in resource recycling technology. Printing and dyeing enterprises have actively carried out equipment transformation and technological innovation, adopted new equipment, new processes and new technologies, and achieved remarkable results in energy conservation and emission reduction throughout the industry. From 2005 to 2010, the water intake of fresh water for printing and dyeing cloth production decreased from 4 tons/100 meters to 2.5 tons/100 meters, down 37.5%; The reuse rate of printing and dyeing production water increased from 7% to 15%, 8 percentage points higher; The comprehensive energy consumption of printing and dyeing fabric production decreased from 59kg standard coal/100m to 50kg standard coal/100m, a decrease of 15%.

Breakthrough in process technology

In the past decade, the printing and dyeing industry has carried out large-scale technological transformation, gradually eliminating outdated equipment with high energy consumption and water consumption and poor stability, and increasing equipment with energy conservation, water conservation, consumption reduction and environmental protection. Especially in the eastern coastal areas, the proportion of the world's advanced printing and dyeing equipment has been greatly increased. The automatic control level of the equipment has been continuously improved. The online detection technology of fabric moisture content, hot air humidity, liquid level, door width, roll diameter, edge position, length, temperature, speed difference and pre shrinkage has been gradually promoted and applied in printing and dyeing enterprises. The application of online detection technology of fabric humidity and alkali concentration has achieved very significant process effects and energy saving and emission reduction effects. In addition, the proportion of wide production equipment has increased year by year, and the proportion of equipment with a width of 280~320cm has increased from 1% in 2005 to 3%.

In the past ten years, China's printing and dyeing industry has closely focused on the national and industrial development plans and goals, accelerated technological innovation and development, and made progress in the following areas: printing and dyeing cleaner production technology, dyeing and finishing technology of new textile materials, dyeing and finishing technology of multi-component fibers, application of new dyes and auxiliaries, advanced wastewater treatment and reuse technology Many breakthroughs have been made in resource recycling technology, and some advanced technologies have been promoted and applied in enterprises, which has played a positive role in promoting the technological progress of the whole industry. During the "Eleventh Five Year Plan" period, 99 scientific and technological achievements in the whole industry won the Science and Technology Award of China Textile Industry Association, including 9 first prizes and 31 second prizes. Among 99 scientific and technological achievements, 2 won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and 3 won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Invention Award.
