Zhang Zhenpeng added that the IOC would not interfere with the clothing sponsorship of all delegations, but only two requirements. First, there should be no commercial advertising. Second, the logos of all sports brands should be only 3cm by 3cm.


Zhang Zhenpeng: As for whether your clothes are fake, the International Olympic Committee doesn't care. Even if a delegation wears fake Adidas, it is also a problem between Adidas and the delegation, and the IOC does not care.


Many Chinese brands, such as Hongxingerke, Jordan and Peak, also sponsored many Olympic delegations. Some netizens made fun of it. Good Chinese brands should help the Egyptian team. Xu Zhihua, CEO of PEAK, said politely that sponsorship depends on local sales.


Xu Zhihua: We choose sponsorship. Generally, we should be able to sell to the local market. In these countries, Iraq and Lebanon, our local sales are good. Sponsorship is also related to the promotion of local dealers. As for Egypt, they didn't come to me. After all, there were so many delegations, and our products didn't sell well in the local market of Egypt.


It was speculated that the Egyptian Olympic Committee could not get sponsorship because of the unstable political situation since the beginning of 2011. However, at the Beijing Olympic Games four years ago, Iraq was sponsored by PEAK at the last moment, so it did not have to wear old clothes to compete. The advertising effect was obvious.
