industry

To fulfil its obligations concerning children's pajamas and casual wear, the Executive Committee of the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has written to manufacturers, distributors, importers and retailers to enforce policies and regulations related to children's pajamas and casual wear.

CPSC is the federal security agency responsible for the implementation of Flammable Fabrics Act (FFA), which aims to protect the public from the risk of flammable fabrics, furnishings and clothing, including children's pajamas.

Children's pajamas are designed to protect children's pajamas from fire sources.

risk

It includes matches / lighters, candles, stoves, small heaters and fireplace.

Most of the fires occur when children are asleep before nightfall or after getting up at night in pajamas or other clothes.

The letter emphasized the definition of children's pajamas and used casual clothes as a type of children's pajamas.

In the regulation, the committee also defines children's pajamas as clothes that are suitable for children aged 0 to 14, such as nightgowns, pajamas, similar or related.

clothing

Such as robes and clothes that are mainly worn for sleeping.

However, the definition does not include:

(1) diapers and underwear;

(2) infant garments suitable for infants of nine months or less;

(3) the largest size of baby garments that meet special requirements.

It is reported that these are called children.

Casual wear

The clothing entered the US market in 90s twentieth Century.

CPSC initially classified such casual clothes or other similar clothes as comfortable clothing, mainly for sleep related activities, so casual clothes also need to meet the standards of children's pajamas.

CPSC also requested children's pajamas and casual wear manufacturers and network and store importers under the 2008 Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act.

These requirements include traceability labels, ortho benzene two formate, buttons, zipper surface and other parts of the product lead content test compliance with the requirements.
