She and other speakers at the seminar said that the high cost of raw materials is also a problem for Vietnamese footwear exporters.


She added that at present, footwear enterprises are only trying to maintain their operation, continue to maintain their labor force, and no profit making thought.


Last year, Vietnam's footwear industry grew by 31% over the same period last year. Vietnam's footwear exports increased to US $4 billion 700 million in the first three quarters of this year. The EU and the United States are the two largest importers of Vietnamese footwear.
