Designer Esteban Cortazar Returns (Chart)

He was named the creative director of Emanuel Ungaro and became famous.
In 2009, he attracted everyone's attention again because he refused to cooperate with Lindsay Lohan to leave the Emanuel Ungaro brand. Now he is back again.
At present, he shifted the focus of design to American women, and will launch a new design series with retail brand Exito on Tuesday.

Can you talk to us about the project with Lindsay Lohan?
When did you decide to leave?
Esteban Cortazar: I moved to Paris to live in my city.

Strength, handcraft and history are all respected.
Ungaro brand also has an excellent tradition. I hope my design can uphold the brand design concept and combine with the contemporary women.
The addition of Lindsay Lohan makes me feel like a way to increase brand exposure. I think this form of imposition is very unsuitable for me, and finally I decide.

Why do we have such a plan to cooperate with retail brands?
Esteban Cortazar: I have this idea because I have wanted to publish my fashion in Columbia since then, but I have never been able to do so.
The country of Columbia has not been influenced by fashion in all directions, and there are relatively few fashion shops in China.

Interview: Why are you interested in Columbia women?
How are they different from French women?
Esteban Cortazar
Columbia women are typical representatives of Latin Women: they are gorgeous, sexy, and women are very curvilinear, while French women are completely different in shape and culture, and they have more opportunities to engage in fashion.
My idea is to integrate the feelings of the two regions, so that women in Columbia can get in touch with the different aesthetic concepts that they may always be afraid of, and this idea makes a born in Columbia.

Interview: how do you convey the union of the two cultures in this series?
Esteban Cortazar: is the first choice of cloth. I chose Columbia, Italy and Japanese materials, mainly for the whole industry to participate. Balmain's studio director also participated in the project.
