The Story Behind World Expo Costumes

Guan Shibo, product culture.

Expo Garden

Before the audience was queued up, the first foreign culture that came into contact was the uniform of the staff.

There are no similarities in the work clothes of more than 200 venues in the Expo Garden.

elegant

Still simple, every set.

uniform

There are different stories behind them.

Italy

The uniform of the staff is the most in all the venues.

fashion

One of the uniforms, because these uniforms came from Prada, the famous fashion designer.

The whole uniform is made of satin and elastic silk and looks very bright and beautiful.

Male lead is rose red entertainment.

Suit

The lower body is a metallic lattice tights, and the dress is a rose coat and a metallic grid skirt.

Because the staff had to walk around a lot in the stadium every day, Prada matched them with nylon and cattle.

Gym shoes

In order to add fashionable colors, the uniform is also equipped with a silver slanted shoulder bag, with classic Prada parachute canvas series.

Quinn Thierry, general representative of the Italy government of World Expo, Shanghai, said they were proud to have partners like Prada.

Britain

The shape of the "seed Temple" of the museum is unforgettable, and the uniforms of the staff in the museum are not small. The design of clothing is made by Martha, a famous British brand.

Martha is the largest multinational business retail group in the UK and one of the representative businesses in the UK.

The uniform is a T-shirt and a "seed Temple" logo on the chest, which is made up of trousers and skirt.

In order to echo the gray belt of the British Pavilion, the main colors of the uniforms are black, white and grey, and the scarves of the British flag are displayed in the British style.

Mirona, the curator of the British Pavilion, said the dress looked simple but not stylish.

Because of the needs of work, there are almost no classical clothes in all kinds of uniforms.

But various venues are still trying to reflect their national characteristics in clothing.

Most of the staff in the Korean Pavilion are women. Their uniforms are very much like the airline's stewardess uniform, a skirt and a hat.

But careful observation reveals many Korean characteristics.

The whole set is made of white and traditional Korean colors - sky blue as the dominant color, because sky blue can reflect the beauty of elegance and give people a sense of refinement.

According to Wen Enhui, a public relations officer of the Korean Pavilion, taking into account the long working hours of the staff, uniforms used fabrics that were easy to wash and process.

In the whole design, the emphasis is on the ancient Korean embroidery on the uniform.

These words are not used by modern Koreans, but Miss Kim said, "although I don't know these words, I like it very much because it's our national culture."

In order to select the uniform of the Norway Pavilion, a design competition was held in Norway Fashion Institute, which resulted in two Norway designers winning.

The inspiration of the two designers comes from the traditional Alpine skin windbreaker in Norway. Therefore, men and women wear the upper garment relatively loosely. Considering that the exhibition is in the summer, the design of a button on the long sleeves can be made into short sleeves.

The uniform color is the most eye-catching, and the jacket is very bright "China Red".

Designers say that Norwegians are very fond of winter sports, and red is the main color of ski suits. At the same time, red is a symbol of China. It represents happiness, so that workers wear the uniform of "China Red" and also show the desire for dialogue between Norway and China.

World Expo, Shanghai

The most popular theme is environmental protection and advocation of nature, while Germany has done a thorough job of uniform environmental protection.

German men and women's uniforms are all orange coloured jackets and trousers, and a waistband can be hung around the waist.

The whole outfit is not surprising, but its texture is exquisite.

The fabric of this uniform is made of a special polyester fiber, which is both heat resistant and washable. What's more peculiar is that the fiber can be recycled and reused as textile material instead of other fibers.

Finland is one of the countries with the largest per capita forest area in the world, so the uniform of the Finland Pavilion is related to trees.

The jacket is a loose white shirt with cotton and flax, and a black shoulder belt with irregular black and white stripes on the outside.

Ericson, a staff member of the Finland Pavilion, said that the clothes were modeled on the color of birch bark in winter.

Birch is the most widely distributed tree species in Finland, and the local winter often snows. When birch is covered with snow, its appearance appears as black and white patterns on the shoulders.

Ericson said that the forests of Finland are densely packed. Finns have deep feelings for forests. Many of their life fragments are related to trees, so this uniform can best represent this country.
