The Situation Of Clothing Sales In Major Retail Businesses Nationwide Is Good.
According to the statistics of China National Business Information Center, the sales situation of clothing sales of hundreds of large retail enterprises in April was good, and the retail sales grew faster than that of the same period last year.
The retail sales of clothing increased by 23.6% over the same period last year, 12.5 percentage points faster than that of the same month last year, which has increased by more than 20% in third consecutive months since 2010, but the growth rate has slowed slightly over the previous few months, down 0.6 percentage points from March, down 6.5 percentage points from 1~2 months.
In the 13 categories of clothing monitoring, 5 types of retail sales declined, of which men's shirts, T-shirts and children's wear dropped 1.5%, 7.4%, 9.2% respectively. The growth of winter clothing sales in knitted underwear, cashmere and cardigan declined by 9.3% and 12.7%, respectively.
Men's clothing sales growth is not large, sales of slightly better men's suits retail sales growth rate is only 13.3%, since last year's financial crisis, men's shirt sales are still in the doldrums of the trend has not improved, compared to the same period, still down 1.5%.
However, when men's wear increased little in retail sales, the retail sales increased significantly, up 37.7% in April, up 23.3 percentage points from the same period last year. The growth rate is 14.5 percentage points higher than that of women's clothing, which is 14.1 percentage points higher than the overall sales of clothing products.
