      Under the close concern of the provincial government, Xinji city has invested in the construction of three tannery wastewater treatment plants and two peak shaving sewage treatment plants, and expanded the oxidation ditch in the tannery industrial zone of the trial artillery camp, ensuring the stable operation of the sewage treatment plant. Today, the daily sewage treatment capacity of Xinji tanning industry has reached 45000 tons, which can not only meet the full load production demand of existing enterprises, but also provide space for the development in the next two years.

      Xinji city insists on improving pollution control technology, timely learning from domestic and foreign pollution control experience, and the pollution control level is always advanced. Since last year, Xinji city has used two years to force the promotion of new technologies such as the recycling of chrome liquor and alkali liquor in the city's leather making enterprises. The water consumption of leather making has been saved by more than 1 / 3, the tannery sludge has been reduced by 80%, and the discharge of chromium and alkali liquor has been reduced by 70%. Relevant enterprises in Xinji city have also cooperated with Shenyang Jiyuan Environmental Protection Engineering Co., Ltd. to build a boiler briquette production project using waste water sludge, so that all tannery sludge can be comprehensively utilized.
