Ministry Of Agriculture Of India: Oppose Restrictions On Export Of Raw Cotton

The Ministry of agriculture of India is against any quantitative restrictions on raw cotton exports in the current financial year, which will have an adverse impact on cotton growers.

Because of domestic cotton prices and export demand, cotton farmers have received a reasonable return.

At the recent meeting of the Secretariat Committee, the Ministry of agriculture proposed the proposal to fix the quantity of raw cotton exports by the end of this year, and the Ministry of agriculture objected to these proposals. The Minister of Agriculture held that any restrictions on raw cotton exports, such as the abolition of the import tariffs of raw cotton and the cancellation of the use of tax rebates for the export of raw cotton, will have an adverse impact on cotton farmers. Any restrictions that have been taken recently by the Ministry of agriculture, such as the abolition of the import duties of raw cotton and the abolition of the tax rebate for the export of raw cotton, will be considered by the Minister of agriculture.
