The head of the study is Dr. Rami Abd of the Dundee Center for human kinematics research.

The research team has prepared 9 different models and different brands of sneakers ranging from $80 to $150.

They covered the price tag and trademark of the shoes, and then asked 43 young men to try them on.

The volunteers put on a pair of shoes and walked around for 20 meters to mark the comfort of the shoes.

The statistics show that the 9 shoes are almost the same.

43 people do not know the grade of shoes, without any psychological hints, do not feel that high priced shoes have obvious advantages.

The researchers also installed pressure detectors on the front, middle and heel of each shoe to test the pressure on the 3 points of the foot when walking.

Abboud asked 9 volunteers to run the manometry to check the running ability of sneakers.

The result shows that the middle and low price sports shoes are better than those of high price shoes in avoiding shock and reducing pressure.

Abboud concluded: "it can be seen from this, when buying sports shoes should choose the most suitable for their model, instead of blindly choosing high price shoes."

Abboud believes that the quality of sports shoes is not directly proportional to the price, because consumers are "cheap but not good."

In order to make more money, manufacturers cater to this consumption psychology and invest a lot of money to advertise high priced shoes in pursuit of high profits.

In the research report, Abboud emphasized the importance of shock absorbing function of sports shoes.

He pointed out that when people are running at moderate speed, the foot has to withstand 2.5 times the impact of the weight of a person when he touchdown on the floor. The faster he runs, the greater the impact.

This impact is pmitted to all parts of the body with the bone. Over time, it can cause muscle pain, tibial fracture, knee wear and other injuries.

Sports shoes can reduce the impact damage by one-third by soft bottom lining and all kinds of hi-tech shockproof means, and play a role in protecting the human body.

Therefore, Abboud believes that if people want to choose healthier sneakers, the best choice is medium and low price shoes with good shockproof performance.
