Quality Of Imported Clothing

Yesterday, the Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce announced the monitoring report on the quality of imported clothing in the circulation field of the city in 2008. The sampling results show that the qualification rate of imported clothing in the city is 80%, and Zegna and other well-known foreign brands are on the black list.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Municipal Administration of Industry and Commerce, the main unqualified items found in the test include: fiber content, color fastness to dry (wet) friction, signs, etc. Li Section Chief of the Municipal Fiber Inspection Institute, who was in charge of this test, said that the unqualified fiber content directly indicated that the product was not worthy of the name and was a cheat to consumers. The color fastness to dry (wet) rubbing is the phenomenon of color fading, which is caused by the dye failing to meet the national standard, and will cause serious harm to human skin, which may cause cancer. When using the product, consumers should use, wash, store and keep it correctly according to the requirements on the label, so as to avoid shrinking, fading, deformation or moth eaten products due to improper use.
