Zhang Xinmin, Vice President Of The Textile Chamber Of Commerce, Held Talks With The Delegation Led By Pakistan'S Minister Of Commerce And Industry Ahmad Ejaz In Beijing

On December 11, Zhang Xinmin, Vice President of the Textile Chamber of Commerce, held talks with Gohar Ejaz, Minister of Commerce and Industry of Pakistan and his delegation in Beijing. The two sides held exchanges on topics such as China Pakistan bilateral textile and clothing investment and trade, Pakistan's textile industry development, and enhancing cooperation between China and Pakistan industries.

The Pakistani delegation includes officials from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Textiles, the Ministry of Livestock in Punjab Province, the Embassy in China and representatives from Fatima Group, Suraj, Kirchner, Ghazi Textile and other textile enterprises. Entrepreneur representatives from Xinxing Jihua International Trade Co., Ltd., China Textile Foreign Economic and Technical Cooperation Co., Ltd. and Suzhou Hengrun Import and Export Co., Ltd. also attended the meeting.

Vice President Zhang Xinmin first extended a warm welcome to the delegation of Pakistan's Minister of Commerce. Vice President Zhang said that the textile and clothing industry chains of China and Pakistan are highly complementary, and the two countries have great potential for cooperation, especially in the cotton industry and trade cooperation. Great changes have taken place in the current global supply chain pattern, which also provides new opportunities for China and Pakistan to carry out cooperation in the textile and clothing industry. It is hoped that China and Pakistan will take this opportunity to jointly take practical measures to explore jointly holding professional textile and clothing exhibitions, organizing trade and investment forums and business docking activities, as well as exchange visits, investigation and research by entrepreneur delegations, and continue to deepen cooperation and development in the field of textile and clothing.

Gohar Ejaz said that the textile industry accounts for more than 60% of Pakistan's total exports, which is of great significance to the country's economic development. Pakistan has an excellent investment environment and unique advantages in natural resources, human resources, location, market access, infrastructure and government incentives. The Pakistani government attaches great importance to promoting the cooperation and development of the textile industry between Pakistan and China, and has set up a special investment promotion committee led by the Prime Minister to strongly support overseas investors to invest in Pakistan. Pakistan is willing to work with China to carry out more exchanges and cooperation in the field of textile and clothing, and promote a new situation of mutual benefit and win-win between Pakistan and China.

The two sides agreed to speed up the docking between their industry organization teams, sign cooperation memorandums, organize leading enterprises to carry out precise counterpart negotiations and exchanges on specific cooperation projects and businesses, prepare for exchange visits, and deepen and consolidate the strategic partnership between China and Pakistan's textile and clothing industry. During the meeting, Chinese entrepreneurs and the Pakistani delegation also exchanged views on Pakistan's investment environment, industry prospects and opportunities for China Pakistan cooperation.
