In the past four years, the vast majority of casual leather shoes enterprises have cancelled the annual plan to participate in the largest footwear exposition in Europe, thus basically abandoning the EU market. Currently, the main markets are in Russia and the Americas.

"The re opening of the market will undoubtedly increase the choice of the diversified market for enterprises."

Will worry lead to price war?

However, some shoe companies are worried that once the EU cancels the anti-dumping duty of 16.5%, this part of the profits may be used by some enterprises to fight price war, which will affect the healthy development of the industry.

"Although the European Union may cancel anti-dumping duties, the export speed of leather shoes in our city should not be too fast," said Mr. Chen, director of the brand of fortune bird group.

If products concentrate on exports in the short term, I am afraid that they will lead enterprises into vicious competition, which is not conducive to the re start of the industry in this market.

Insiders predict that there may be a large number of EU anti-dumping duties after the end of March.

Since October 2006, the European Union has formally imposed anti-dumping duties on leather shoes imported from China, with the highest tax rate of 16.5%.

In October 23rd of that year, 5 Chinese shoe companies appealed to the European Court of first instance.

In October 2008, after the expiration of the anti-dumping duty for two years, the European Union launched the final review again, and decided to extend the anti-dumping measures for another 15 months in December 22, 2009.

In April 2010, the EU's junior court dismissed 5 Chinese shoe companies' claims.

In April 8th of that year, the Chinese government appealed to the WTO to set up an expert group's request for anti-dumping measures against China's leather shoes by the European Union, and formally launched the WTO dispute settlement expert group's hearing procedure.

In May, when other shoe companies announced their abandonment of appeal, Wenzhou AOKANG decided to appeal to the European Union High Court.

After hard work, the anti-dumping duty is declared to be abolished this year.
