On November 24th, the Pakistan Trade Development Council (TDAP) released a report that the total export volume of Pakistan in the first four months of this fiscal year (July 2010 to October) amounted to US $7 billion 170 million, compared with the previous year.

增长19.2%;其中10月份单月出口达19.89亿美元,同比增长26%。

Textiles are still the main export products of Pakistan. From 7 to October, exports of various kinds of textiles amounted to US $4 billion 100 million, an increase of 23.65% over the same period last year. Knitwear and cotton exports were US $754 million and US $734 million respectively. Bedding, garments and cotton yarn exports exceeded US $500 million.

European Union

And the United States remains the main export destination for Pakistan, and more than 50% of its products are exported to these countries and regions.

Analysts believe that the continued weakness of the rupee and the increase in textile export orders are the main reasons for the rapid growth of Pakistan's exports.

In view of the current good export development trend, it is expected that Pakistan will achieve the export target of US $20 billion for the current fiscal year (July 2010 to June 2011).
