Brief Introduction Of Shoe Sole Materials

At present, the sole materials on the market are PU,

PVC

NR, BR, SBR and so on, and commonly used in cleanroom.

Outsole material

There are: EVA, PU and PVC.

Here is a brief introduction to these soles.

(1) EVA midsole: ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer EVA for short, compared with polyethylene, EVA due to the introduction of vinyl acetate monomer in the molecular chain, thereby reducing the high crystallinity, improve flexibility, impact resistance, filler miscibility and thermal sealing performance.

EVA midsole refers to the injection of EVA into the mold after heating the shoe at the end of a molding, also called a foaming middle sole.

The traditional EVA is hot pressed, and the EVA ejector directly shoots the EVA particles into the mold of the machine. After about 400 seconds, the mold is opened and the soles inside the mold are foamed and molded through heat and cold setting boxes. The biggest feature of this method is high output and one time molding. The disadvantage is that it is easy to change shape, and the time is long, yellowing and shrinking.

(2) PHYLON midsole: PHYLON originated in the United States, and the earliest shoe soles are called PHYLON.

Refers to the injection of materials into the mold, through two high temperature heating after firing the sole of the shoe.

It's mostly used in sports shoes.

The hardness of PHYLON is controlled by temperature. In the process of firing PHYLON, the higher the temperature, the greater the density of PHYLON and the harder it is.

The smaller the temperature is, the lighter and softer the PHYLON will naturally burn. So the evaluation of the middle sole of the shoe can not be measured by the weight or the degree of hardness.

(3) burying the bottom of the cloth: the bottom of the cloth is also the middle sole of the PHYLON, which is a kind of shoemaking technology to pursue the overall sense of design. The best example is that the sole of the shoe and the shoe body are made of the same cloth, and the integral combination of the shoe body and the sole is realized.

The realization of this process is to use the selected cloth to wrap the already formed PHYLON middle sole and to mold it in high temperature.

(4) PVC midsole: PVC, PVC, is a kind of

Artificial leather

It was the first invention to be used as a substitute for leather fabrics.

It is made of PVC and plasticizer and other auxiliaries rolled together on cloth.

PVC has low impact strength, large thermal deformation and less resilience than PU.

(5) PU midsole: in addition to the PHYLON midsole and EVA midsole, PU midsole is also very common.

PU, called polyimide, is a kind of foam based rubber durable high-density material which is often used in the midsole of the rear palm.

The biggest advantage of PU midsole is elasticity and toughness.

(6) the middle of the package: the bottom of the bag is composed of two parts, the sole and the upper. The structure is composed of three parts: the sole, the middle sole and the vamp.

(7) PU soles: PU soles are low temperature molded soles.

The bottom of PU is characterized by portability, but it is not suitable to touch water. After encountering water, it will react with chemicals and corrode layer by layer.
