Sun Jinliang, academician of Shanghai Univer, said that reforming the scientific research system and production system, strengthening the training of scientific and technological innovative talents and strengthening academic and technical exchanges are good ways to promote the technological progress of textile engineering.

In 2009, the textile industry readjustment and revitalization plan, approved by the State Council and one of the ten major industry revitalization plans, put forward the related target of the annual average growth of 10% of the total textile industry and the annual reduction of energy consumption per unit by 5%.

For this reason, the academicians and experts of the conference looked forward to the low carbon textile industry. They are extremely concerned about the exploration of new materials that can achieve energy saving, emission reduction and high efficiency and low consumption.

Experts believe that new materials are strategic new industries, and we must strive for independent research and development. This requires nanotechnology, biotechnology, information technology and other interdisciplinary integration.

At present, Shanghai is leading in the field of R & D, advanced technology and equipment development of high-tech textile materials such as hi-tech fiber materials, industrial textiles and other high-end textile materials.

At the meeting, many experts also turned their attention to industrial textiles.

Over the past 5 years, the average annual growth rate of China's industrial textiles has projected a way for the future development of China's textile industry in the past 18.6% years.

The global industrial textiles also reached an annual average growth rate of 4%.

Experts believe that this is undoubtedly an opportunity for the development of China's textile industry.

But at present, the core technology of the domestic textile industry depends on the developed countries and so on.
